The HOTPOD Stove Story

Combining functionality with art, the HOTPOD has a great story behind it. Dan built his first stove out of necessity when he was living in an old VW surf-bus and needed to keep warm. After years of re-working the design, and helped by the BBC2 programme ‘Pay off your mortgage', he finally made his invention into a marketable reality.

Dan welds the parts together, sand-blasts the stove and finishes it with a high temperature metallic black paint. Due to the time taken to make (each one takes about a week) only 350 stoves are being created in total, and each one will be individually numbered. They can also be engraved with a small design or message on request.
