The Hotpod Limited Edition stoves are hand built to order.
They do take a lot of time to build so lead times can vary depending on Dan's current workload.

They are £3040 plus delivery and VAT. Please feel free to buy one online, but it might be worth contacting us for lead times if timing is an issue.
Current lead times are roughly 6-8 weeks.
The Hotpod Hotrod VW fire tools are hand made to order.
They are made almost 100% from recycled VW shock absorbers.
From Dan's first use of a shock absorber strut as a poker many years ago, the set has gradually come together over the years with the completion this year when Dan's dad, blacksmith and farrier Dan senior, made the first Hotrod shovel entirely out of Volkswagen.
Leadtimes are usually 2-3 weeks dependant on availability of parts and how many horses need shoeing.
If you are buying this set and a Hotpod, or you already own one, then you already have a poker which comes with your Hotpod. In this case you may not be wanting the poker with the full set, plus you are entitled to the Hotpod owners discount. Please contact us for the revised price.

The Hotrod poker
These are made from retired VW shock absorbers and valve components.The steel in a shock absorber strut is very high grade and chrome plated. Dan snr hand forges the ends into a good angle for clearing the Hotpod grate and then makes the handle from a VW valve spring and other internal parts from the shock absorber. They often have 'character' in the form of the odd bump or scratch because of their previous careers.

The Hotrod brush
These are made to the same design as the pokers out of the same parts with the addition of a standard hearth brush screwed onto the end. The brush head is painted in Hotpod black and polished.

The Hotrod shovel
These Hotrod shovels were missing from the set for years as Dan couldnt think of a part of Volkswagen which would make a good shovel end. In 2009, Dan snr was stripping a batch of shock absorbers for making Hotrods and with his blacksmiths eye, saw how he could open out the casing into a good looking shovel. Genious. If you look carefully on most of them you will find the VW/Audi logo and part number.
Once again, these may have 'character' in the form of the odd bump or scratch because of thier previous careers.

The Hotrod tongs
These are made in the same way as the other hotrods with the addition of tappet hinges, oil pump gear teeth and a cv joint ball cage.
They have a lock to keep them closed when not in use.

The Hotrod freestanding holder
These are made from the much thicker front shocks off a VW the same as the Hotpod door hinge pins. Also involved are cam shaft cogs, front axle stubs and cv parts and some big ends.

The Podhopper coal scuttles are made to order
They are made from retired stainless steel fire extinguishers and have Wolkswagen beetle or camper door handles for handles.
They are the perfect size for use with the Hotpods but are also perfect for use with any stove or fireplace. We only select the best condition retired extinguishers and handles, but most of them have 'character' in the form of the odd bump or scratch because of thier previous careers.
They are £150. Leadtimes are 2-3 weeks dependant on availability of parts.
The Hotpod branded heat resistant gloves..
These are very heavy duty leather gloves, the same ones as Dan uses in the Workshop.
We always send them out with Hotpods because they are excellent for keeping hands clean and cool when using a stove or any fire.

The Hotpod classic VW camshaft candlestick.
These are made from the camshafts of retired Volkswagen Beetle and camper aircooled engines and are all around 30cm tall.
Dan has been breaking VW engines for many years and has found various uses for the beautiful things he finds inside, but these were the first and still a classic.

The Hotpod crankshaft candlesticks are hand built to order.
They are made from the main working parts of the classic VW aircooled engine, including the flywheel, crankshaft and con rods, all topped off with retired Golf camshaft and cam follower candle cups.
These large candlesticks stand over 80cm tall and are very heavy. They look fantastic as a table centrepiece...providing your table is strong enough.
Leadtimes are dependant on availability of parts and they are £400.
The Hotpod VW piston incense burner..
These are made from the the pistons of retired Volkswagen Beetle and Camper aircooled engines.
The fact that they are no longer of any use in an engine means that these each one shows the markings of a hard working life in an extreme environment. They are aluminium alloy and polish up beautifully and are finished inside with various colours.
We originally made them as ash trays and they make very good ones but now they all have 4 holes drilled in the top to take traditional Tibetan incense sticks. Much better than chemical air fresheners we think.
We have dozens of these so you can have them tomorow if you order before pasty'o'clock.
They are £15.
The Hotpod sawtooth or 'pasty o clocks' are hand made to order.
They are made from retired circular saw blades sourced from cornish sawmills and crafts people.
They come in three different sizes - small 25cm dia aprox, medium 45cm dia aprox and large which are over 65cm in diameter.
We also do different styles, all numbered, numbers and dots, just dots and the almost famous 'Pasty o clock' which regiments the hotpod workshop.
Nearly every one we have made so far has been customised for the customer, so please let us know any special requests via email or phone Dan to discuss.
